Tax Information
Sales Tax
All food and beverage purchases are subject to state and local sales tax. The current sales tax rate is 8.875% for New York City.

Additional Fees
In addition to sales tax, please be aware of the following fees that may apply to your order:
- •Delivery Fee:
A delivery fee of $5.99 applies to all delivery orders under $50. Orders over $50 qualify for free delivery.
- •Service Fee:
A service fee of 3% is applied to all orders to help us maintain quality service and fair wages for our staff.
- •Gratuity:
For parties of 6 or more, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. For all other orders, gratuity is optional but appreciated.
All applicable fees and taxes will be clearly displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
Tax Exemptions
If you represent a tax-exempt organization, we honor valid tax exemption certificates. Please follow the process below to apply your tax-exempt status to your orders.
Submit Documentation
Email a copy of your tax exemption certificate to accounting@Sagarrestaurant.com or bring it to our restaurant in person.
Verification
Our accounting team will verify your tax-exempt status and add it to your account within 2-3 business days.
Place Orders
Once verified, you can place tax-exempt orders using the account associated with your tax exemption certificate.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will my card be charged?
Your card will be authorized when you place your order, but you will only be charged once your order is confirmed. For reservations, a hold may be placed on your card but you will only be charged in case of a no-show or late cancellation as per our reservation policy.
Do you offer split payments?
Yes, we offer split payments for in-restaurant dining. For online orders, we currently only support one payment method per order. However, you can use third-party payment apps to split costs with friends before making the purchase.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, we believe in complete transparency. All applicable fees, including delivery fees, service charges, and taxes, are clearly displayed before you confirm your order or make a reservation.
How do I get a receipt for my order?
A digital receipt is automatically sent to the email address associated with your order. If you need a physical receipt or have not received your digital receipt, please contact our customer service team.
Do you offer corporate billing?
Yes, we offer corporate billing options for businesses. Please contact our corporate sales team at corporate@Sagarrestaurant.com to set up a corporate account and discuss billing arrangements.
